The world needs more energy, and our task is to supply it sustainably and responsibly. Since 1972 we have been inspired by the challenge of doing what some say cannot be done.
Some of our greatest innovations have sprung from our greatest challenges. It has taught us to never give up and to always seek the full potential in everything and everyone. Forty years later, our company has grown to become the number one offshore operator in the world and the second largest supplier of natural gas to the European market, and an ambitious player in wind power.

We are determined to develop resources responsibly and create lasting value for communities.
Our industry needs to be part of the solution. Our ambition is to be the world’s most carbon-efficient oil and gas producer, driving innovation in offshore wind, and committed to creating lasting value for communities.

Together we make great things happen
Northern Norway is the region of opportunity and is enjoying high economic growth based on the advantages that nature has given us. As the region's bank we want to contribute actively to the development of Northern Norway. Both as a bank for people and businesses, and through our social engagement and support for the region's cultural life, teams and associations.
Sport and culture are at the core of our social engagement and help to generate activities and diversity. It is therefore good to see that great ideas can grow into huge public celebrations and cooperation across county boundaries. The Arctic Race of Norway is a good example of this, and we are proud to have been a team member since the very start.
As an official partner and sponsor of the green point's jersey, we want to help ensure that the Arctic Race of Norway becomes a celebration of cycling for the entire family. Since 2013, over 6 000 children have taken part in the SNN Mini Arctic Race. This year we aim to repeat the success with bike races for children in Fauske, Sandnessjøen, Nesna, Mo i Rana and Bodø.
Together we make great things happen.

International stars in Arctic regions
The Norwegian salmon industry creates value and provides the basis for large-scale food production both locally and nationally. – Actually just a small step close to the road where the world’s premier cyclists compete during the Arctic Race of Norway.
Here in the North, salmon has an optimal nurturing environment with fresh, cold water in a cool climate. These nature given conditions, together with hard-working locals, world-leading technology and research groups, have created a product desired by fastidious consumers and chefs all over the world. In fact, 14 million people eat Norwegian salmon every day! This makes the salmon an international star – in a silvery leaders’ jersey.
The Norwegian salmon industry started years ago to collaborate in a new campaign “salmon is important”. Together, the industry wants to show the public why salmon is important for Norway and the rest of the world. The farmers still develop and work hard to be better, in other words the aquaculture industry has not yet reached the finish line. If we do things right going forward, aquaculture could provide an answer to what Norway is going to live off in the future.

The TV 2 Group transmits on one main channel, as well as a number of niche channels. Among those is TV 2 Nyhetskanalen, which has broadcast news 24 hours a day since 2007. That same year, TV 2 also acquired its own sports channel, TV 2 Sportskanalen. Since then TV 2 has expanded the Sport focus to three HD channels solely broadcasting English Premier League. These niche channels complement TV 2 Zebra that has broadcast entertainment and serials to the Norwegian youth since 2005. We color the race in purple!
Purple t-shirts and balloons will be visible as Bufetat, region north continue working on promoting and recruiting foster homes.
Before last years race Bufetat, region north came together with Arctic Race of Norway as a Charity partner. Through this partnership, we want to honor foster families, increase knowledge about the needs in the region and recruit more foster homes. In addition, we wish to draw attention to the importance of being able to provide foster children positive interests and experiences, where they get the opportunity to experience success. This partnership builds on ARN’s vision of being ”more than just a bike race.”
Last year we were visible along all the stages with our purple t-shirts and balloons. This, along with wellmanned stands and other activities, gave results. After the race we saw that the number of inquiries from people who wanted to become foster parents increased by 213 percent the week after the northern Norwegian bike festival. With lessons learned from last year still fresh in memory, we will continue the success and hope to pique the interest of even more potential foster families this year.

About Bufetat, region north
The Office for Children, Youth and Family Affairs (Bufetat) is responsible for matters relating to statefunded child welfare services, family counselling and adoption. Bufetat is divided into five regions and an overall executive body, called the Norwegian Directorate for Children, Youth and Family Affairs (Bufdir). Regional Office for Children, Youth and Family Affairs, Northern Norway is responsible of covering the counties Nordland, Troms and Finnmark.

About our foster children
The need all foster children have in common is to have grown-ups in their lives that can offer them security, care and love in their upbringing. Diversity in the foster children calls for a diverse amount and provision of foster homes. What all foster homes have in common is that they consist of parents with good parenting skills and extra energy for the children. In Northern Norway roughly 1250 children and youths live in foster homes. Every child needs a supporting family that can assist them in reaching their full potential. A good upbringing lasts a life time!
