“It was really under control until we reached the local laps. It was all about positioning before the last climb but the boys of my team kept me in the front. They also did a perfect job in controlling the race before with not pulling too hard and not closing the gap. We were lucky that three guys from the breakaway were still at the front. I only had to match Lafay and Eiking in the sprint. I got a gap to Eiking. I’m not as explosive as he is. Luck was on my side. There were only two seconds, not more. It’s a nice stage race to add to my list of victories. Pro Series are of a high level. I’ve very happy with this win. I didn’t come for anything less.”
