A cycling festival for the whole family
SpareBank 1 Nord-Norge will be repeating last year's success and arranging free bike races for children during the Arctic Race of Norway.
As the official partner and sponsor of the best sprinter's jersey, SpareBank 1 Nord-Norge wants everyone to take part in this summer's celebration of cycling. The region's bank particularly wants to encourage children and young people to get involved by contributing to activities and a love of sports. More than 10,000 children have participated in SNN Mini Arctic Race all around Northern Norway. Let your children enjoy an active, sociable holiday filled with speed and fun at SNN Mini Arctic Race. It is guaranteed to be their proudest memory of the summer!
What is SNN Mini Arctic Race?
SNN Mini Arctic Race is a bike race for children and young people held during the Arctic Race of Norway and arranged by SpareBank 1 Nord-Norge. Entry is free and everyone who rides receives a specially designed green T-shirt and medal.
How far is the race?
The bike races are informal and are arranged in small heats and over short distances at all the event locations. The heats are in central areas and are seldom longer than 700 metres. The distances increase with age and will be announced at each location. This is something that everyone can join in with and the focus is on activity and a love of sports.
Safety is a top priority
Safety will be a high priority for us at the event. Vehicle traffic has thus been banned from all of the routes. Bike helmets are of course compulsory. Entrants participate in SNN Mini Arctic Race at their own risk.
