Alexander Kristoff: "It was almost impossible to lose"
August 11 th 2017 - 17:30
"We came here to the Arctic Race of Norway to win a race. Yesterday I just missed out and today I wanted to keep the good run of the past weeks. The team and the lead out went really well even though we lost Sven [-Erik Bystrøm] due to technical problems. Reto [Hollenstein] did a really good job in the last kilometer then Michael [Morkov] just put me in a perfect position. It was almost impossible to lose from where I was sitting, so I'm really happy with the team work today. The airport runway was very big so it was a bit difficult to understand how to handle it but Michael has a really good eye for this type of sprinting, so I just had to follow him to the front. Staying on his wheel meant I'd probably manage to win. At the end it looked quite easy. Yesterday we pulled nearly all day then we lost so to pull out a victory today is good for the morale. I think tomorrow I'll lose some seconds to the best. I came here to win a stage. Maybe I can win another one on Sunday.”
