Arctic Race of Norway and the seafood company Br. Karlsen will collaborate on value creation and sustainability. CEO Rita Karlsen of Br. Karlsen sees many opportunities.
Enthusiasm and Joy "We at Br. Karlsen feel a strong obligation to create value together with the community around us. Arctic Race of Norway is important for Northern Norway in so many ways. The event itself creates enthusiasm and joy, but even more importantly, the cycling race is a major Northern Norwegian collaborative project that contributes to both quality of life and value creation in the north. We want to be part of this," says CEO Rita Karlsen of Br. Karlsen.
Important Industry General Manager Knut-Eirik Dybdal of Arctic Race of Norway is very pleased to have one of the most important players in one of the most important industries in the north as a partner.
"The seafood industry is crucial for settlement, jobs, and tax revenues along the coast. It is also an important export industry, making our region even more relevant outside the country's borders. Our vision at Arctic Race of Norway is to contribute to positive development in the north and to showcase all the great things we have to offer to the audience around the world. Therefore, we are very happy to have one of the most important Northern Norwegian players in the seafood industry as a partner," says Dybdal.
Organic Salmon Dybdal also highlights Br. Karlsen's strong environmental commitment as an area where the two can work together.
"Arctic Race of Norway is certified as an environmental beacon and is the first professional cycling race to use only electric cars as support vehicles. Br. Karlsen is, among other things, Norway's first certified producer of organic salmon and has a strong environmental commitment. Here we see many opportunities to strengthen each other's work," says Dybdal.
Festival at Husøy The third stage of this year's race starts at Husøy in Senja, where Br. Karlsen is based. Here, Arctic Race of Norway will also establish its guest area. The leader of the new partner is excited about this.
"Every year we organise Husøydagan here, and this year we have scheduled the event to coincide with the Arctic Race of Norway. It will definitely be a festival here when we send the cyclists off on the third stage," says Karlsen.
