“I saw after yesterday’s stage that surprisingly I was second in the King of the Mountains classification, only two points behind. I wasn’t sure I was going to go for it because Stephen Cummings is a strong rider but on the final laps, I said to myself why not… I felt quite good and I went all in for the salmon jersey. I wasn’t so happy with my performance in the Tour de France so I was motivated to make it up at the Arctic Race of Norway and take some kind of revenge.”
