Important inspiration

Idretten Skaper Sjanser, which is a program for people with substance abuse challenges, will again participate in the Arctic Race of Norway. This year, they have gathered a group that will cycle all four stages parallel with the professionals.
General Manager Knut-Eirik Dybdal of Arctic Race of Norway says that the participation from Idretten Skaper Sjanser is an important inspiration for everyone in and around the cycling race.

  • The participants' stories put things into perspective, and the riders' ability to work as one team is inspiring. We often use the image where they help a teammate up the hill to Nordkapp to describe how important cooperation is. We are incredibly happy that Idretten Skaper Sjanser is back this year, and it is great that our partners contribute to making this possible, says Dybdal.

Local anchoring and social responsibility

The participation from Idretten Skaper Sjanser is supported by Polar Kraft, which in collaboration with ZU4’R, the clothing supplier to the Arctic Race of Norway, has developed specially designed t-shirts for the group.

  • We are proud to collaborate with Idretten Skaper Sjanser. It's about giving people a new chance, and together with ZU4’R, we want to give these strong and brave athletes t-shirts that symbolize commitment, community, and support, says Herold Myrland, CEO of Polar Kraft.

He also thanks the Arctic Race of Norway for making this type of collaboration possible.

  • The Arctic Race of Norway is a large collaborative project that gives us a unique opportunity to show the strength of community, and the t-shirts from Polar Kraft and ZU4’R will remind us that we never stand alone, says Myrland.

Experiencing mastery

General Manager Linda Treseng of Idretten Skaper Sjanser says that participation in the Arctic Race is about more than cycling long distances in magnificent nature on routes made for professionals.

  • Here, our athletes experience being seen and cheered on, and they experience mastery. It's not just about mastering the physical. It's also about living closely with others for several days and following a rigid schedule, which is unusual for most, says Treseng.

For Idretten Skaper Sjanser, it means a great deal that Polarkraft and ZU4R are on the team, reinforcing both the feeling of being seen and, not least, it is a very pleasant contribution for us.

  • For our athletes, it means extra for the team spirit to get specially designed ARN jerseys. We are therefore very grateful for the collaboration with Polarkraft, ZU4R, and not least the Arctic Race of Norway.

Visible presence in the Arctic Race

The t-shirts designed by ZU4’R bear both the Idretten Skaper Sjanser and Polar Kraft logos. The t-shirts combine the visual elements of Idretten Skaper Sjanser with Polar Kraft's color palette and logo. According to Polar Kraft, the design is made to create pride among the athletes and make it clear to the public and media that Sports and Polar Kraft stand together.
