Pillar 4 – Collaboration Platform
Creating a forum for collaboration and economic sustainability
The Arctic Race of Norway serves as a unique platform bringing together commercial partners, social organisations and local municipalities to contribute to the long-term development of Northern Norway.
By creating opportunities for dialogue, networking and cooperation, ARN helps generate lasting economic value while supporting innovation and regional growth.
A Platform for Economic Development
Since the launch of the Arctic Race of Norway in 2013, the event has generated more than NOK 1 billion in economic impact for Northern Norway.
Direct spending linked to the organisation of the race represents NOK 357 million, while spectator spending contributes an estimated NOK 656 million to local businesses and communities.
These figures demonstrate the race’s ability to create tangible economic benefits and support sustainable regional development.
Conferences and Knowledge Sharing
Each year, several conferences are organised alongside the event, creating opportunities for stakeholders from different sectors to exchange ideas and build new collaborations.
Among them are a business conference organised by Innovation Norway and a sports conference led by the Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Confederation of Sports.
These events contribute to strengthening Northern Norway’s attractiveness, fostering innovation and encouraging dialogue around future opportunities for the region.
Partnership with the Norwegian Air Ambulance
The Arctic Race of Norway is proud to collaborate with the Norwegian Air Ambulance, an organisation that plays a vital role in providing emergency medical assistance across Norway’s vast and remote territories.
This partnership helps raise awareness of the importance of emergency healthcare access and highlights the essential work carried out every day to support communities throughout Northern Norway.
