“It feels amazing! I get my first win of the year here on this finish against those very strong guys, it’s fantastic. With 1km to go, the other guys at the front slowed down and I saw some riders coming from behind. I knew that I had to go early to surprise them. I went as hard as I could with 400 metres to go. There was a moment I thought it was not going to work but I had enough of a gap to stay upfront till the line.”
